The official trophy supplier for Cheltenham Racecourse

The official trophy supplier for Cheltenham Racecourse

The 2023 Cheltenham Festival - Inkerman is the official trophy supplier

As the official trophy supplier to Cheltenham Racecourse, Inkerman provide a series of trophies for owners, trainers, jockeys, and stable hands throughout the season. Along with looking after the series of perpetual trophies held by the course.  Each year all of the perpetual trophies are engraved with winners details and any restoration work carried out.

We are not just rophy makers and designers, we are often asked to undertake commissions to make replica trophies of some of these perpetuals, many of which are steeped in history with much intiricate detailing, it is often hard to tell the difference from the real thing to the replica. This gives the winners a chance to keep a version of the trophy with their runners name pride of place on the plinth.

The Inkerman team take up residence in Gloucestershire for the week of the horse racing festival, renting a house nearby to the racecourse and the Trophy Room which is located just above the winner’s enclosure becomes their base on the course for the duration of the festival.  Heavily branded with Inkerman red and a bursting window display each day full of the days trophies is where is all happens.  Trophies are cleaned and prepped and then taken down to the winners enclosure in time for each race presentation.

This is our fourth year working with Cheltenham as the official trophy supplier and it really is one of our highlights in the horse racing calendar. With more than 250,000 racegoers from Ireland and Britain coming together for the festival it is an event not to be missed and something that we are proud to be associated with.  With a total of 28 races, including the five Championship races which headline the four days – the Unibet Champion Hurdle, Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase, Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle, Ryanair Chase and the prestigious Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup steeplechase.
